"Vacationland is done in a creative, visionary, and soulful way that only someone who loves this area could do. The book is beautifully constructed, thoughtful in its attention to both large and very small detail, and the best Guide Book/Visitors Guide I have ever seen on Estes Park!"

"We love your books! We pick them up each visit. They are all so beautiful and well done. They are the best guide books of any place we visit. We especially love the Restaurant Guide"  Charles from Michigan

rmrt-full-shotThe famous Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater opens this year in a brand new building.

The 12,000-square-foot complex at the corner of Grand Avenue and Vine Street in Grand Lake features 297 comfortable stadium seats, lobby, backstage area, dressing rooms, enhanced sound, advanced lighting components and a multi-purpose room. Since 2008, more than $5 million was raised to build the complex. (The town of Grand Lake has only 450 residents, but more than 1,000 individual donors contributed to the building project.) The new theater replaces the Grand Lake Community House, a log cabin structure built in 1922.rmrt-theatre-photo

Now in its fourth decade, the live theater performs professional plays and musicals in rotation. The summer repertory shows include the spectacular Beauty and the Beast based on the Academy Award-winning Disney film; Guys and Dolls featuring memorable songs, including “Luck Be a Lady,” “Bushel and a Peck” and “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat;” and Chess by ABBA composers Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. Almost Heaven: The Songs of John Denver leads off the fall season. A full schedule is available at www.rockymountainrep.com.chess-close-up-cast

Seating is reserved and advance purchase is recommended. Tickets: $30 adult, children 14 and under $15. Box office is open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, (970) 627-3421.
